Do what you think is best. PT needs a wide audience to gain validity, but it's difficult to build that audience while charging them. You can see the advertising model's attractiveness... And it's a real pain to post (and read) the same thing multiple times (PT, Substack, Facebook, Twitter), so there's a natural tendency for cliques to clump on one platform. Drawing people away is going to be very hard.

I can't speak for your other subscribers, but I support you to support you (and to have some direct access). The cost (and your profits?) are low enough that it doesn't trigger "fairness" concerns on my part. From my angle, I don't really lose out if other people read your stuff -- maybe you can paywall a few pieces that you find highly proprietary? Still...

Maybe that's the new model: like MIT's OpenCourseWare, you post everything in the public domain (with a lag?), but only "talk to / grade / help" subscribers... Plus PT sweat-shirts, so we can signal and earn unmerited high incomes ;-)

Maybe you copuld use Datawrapper for graphs and charts? ( https://www.datawrapper.de/ )

BTW I'm not affiliated with them at all, just thought their service was cool.
